for years bruised and battered I stood before HIM with the same question. Why would you save my Mother from a massive heart attack to allow her to die one years later? What daughter loses her Mother at thirty & three years. The same question, over and over again. The same anger directed only at HIM.

In a battle with my FATHER, I was sure not to win.

And, why FATHER would you allow me to be the one … with her to the end. And, why FATHER would you allow me to be the one on the cordless phone with the EMT in route to my Mother’s house. Why, Father did you give us that sweet moment of clarity? You know the moment FATHER, the summer night before. When my words to my Mother were … Mom, have you ever needed to go, wanted to go, just had to go somewhere and you just could not GO. And FATHER, You knew her reply was going to be … JUST GIVE IT UP TO GOD …

Prostrate in a sleepy moment wide awake in the next. Sonya your Mother is having a heart attack … my Dad’s voice whispered into the night. You knew I was the rebellious young daughter. The single parent by choice one. The daughter always trying to start a movement. The questions were always the same.

The silence mastitis continual grief stricken pain. Like the words breast and cancer is no longer in remission.

in my silence HE made it extremely clear to me

the heart attack was to save her soul … your Mother is happy with me.

We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8

Compassion Bloggers are in route to Tanzania (May 6-11, 2012). Learn about the mission of Compassion International as you follow some local and not so local Bloggers. the wisteria blooms in concert

many tears were shed over the loss of this great wisteria in the spring of twenty ten. Watched did I as the flood waters began to swamp it’s roots and water the ground from which the wisteria did stand. Months did it take to wrangle the dead so life would be present again. My children and neighbors watched as this life I tried to save. To cry over a tree is me.

the wisteria blooms in concert with an apple tree and amazed are we in the sight of their song. So very tangled and free like you and me.

Today I write in a third person Challenge

she found the bronzed topped covered box, tightly wrapped. She wondered of the contents as she ran her fingers gently over the twine. The threads began to lose shape as unwrap did she. Finally, she exhaled as the light of day entered the darkness. The contents reveled the heart of her youngest daughter. The daughter who rebelled against the Mother from the womb. The daughter she so wanted to deliver on her birthday. But, NO … this child would be born one day to soon. The secrets of the box reveled scraps of gently folded papers and she though to what we owe is this? As she unfolded them each one by one, the poetry formed a song unsung. A continuous concert on stiffen cloth. For much time did she read the words of the daughter. The instant brew now cold to the taste. The cigarette ash now a stream. As the youngest daughter walks in. Caught is she. Caught in the reading of the poetry of thought. She tried to explain, but little could not hear. The youngest daughter could only fear … the unfolded thoughts … scattered about and free … free, for any and ALL to see.

the end of the rant

much has been learned this year in BSF class and much is still unlearned … Greek & Latin words have become a new love. An extremely shy child was I … little words did I speak. I wrote, I scribbled, I drew, I stitched. Over the last month or so the telephone is set to off … Yes there is an off button on that thing called the telephone and I NOW love I to use it. James, James , James. Three times HE has lead me to study this chapter of the Bible in the last ten months or so. Three times!

The unspoken words are a direct path to the written words. So, ALL notifications have been turned off or tuned out. We are super close to the end of the rant. Super close! The words that come out of my mouth, cannot be edited for those who have ears to hear. Nor can more than the one hear the words. And, I am ever grateful to HIM that keeps me.

My Latin word for today is notitia, meaning content
